Sustainability and environmental protection are very important to us, which is why certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 is the logical consequence. With our sustainable products and their future-orientated production, we are doing our bit for a world worth living in.
The environmental policy is an integral part of the company policy and is therefore aimed at the entire Emba-Protec workforce. The aim of the environmental management system is to continuously review and improve all activities with an impact on the aspects of operational and social environmental policy.
The environmental management system practised by Emba-Protec is based on the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001. All actions within the company are accordingly aligned with all environmentally relevant laws and regulations.
Our sustainability in figures
More than CO2 neutral - we feed over 50 % of our own neutral energy production into the electricity grid.
We are power generators
680 thousand kWh of electricity generation with photovoltaics with an output of 1000 kWp.
We obtain 60% of our heat from the exhaust air from the air generators.
80% of our company vehicles at the site are electric or hybrid.
We are planning to expand our charging stations by a further 50% by mid-2025. We will convert all company vehicles at the site (excluding lorries) to an electric or hybrid basis by mid-2025.

Disposal and recycling
of our packaging
In the example shown, the proportion of film is approx. 3%. This means that our packaging is mono-material packaging. What does this mean for you? You do not have to and should not separate the film from the packaging. Our packaging belongs unseparated in the wastepaper. Only then can 100% utilisation be guaranteed.
Why?
Your packaging is pulped during the production of corrugated base paper. The fibre material of the paper is separated from the film in a pulper. The film is skimmed off and sent for recycling or directly for disposal. This ensures that no film components end up in our environment.
Packaging from Emba - an all-round efficient and sustainable packaging Emba-Protec - we produce sustainable packaging in a sustainable company. We save 90,000 kg of CO2 equivalents per year by using the above-mentioned Emba-Quick packaging material compared to companies without similar energy generation and feed-in.
In our test set-up, the use of the Emba products mentioned above saves over 35% of CO2 per tonne of packaging material compared to the use of a corrugated cardboard box with bubble wrap to protect the packaged goods.
